Founded in 1987, Acoustic Variations Laboratories provides customized design solutions for audio applications.  These include special-purpose loudspeaker design, vacuum tube and solid-state amplifier and audio processing design, as well as computer-based audio analysis tools.  

 

Projects have included development of small, full-range satellite speaker systems, active and passive subwoofer systems (custom tailored for use with commercially available loudspeakers), musical instrument effect devices and amplification systems.

 

In 2000, AVL was absorbed as an independent, wholly-owned subsidiary of Variant Technology Consulting, LLC, and continues to operate as Acoustic Variations Laboratories.
